Description
Learning Objectives
1. Recognize the inherent imaging qualities of Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) to image liver nodules including a narrow scan plane with no problem from volume.
2. Realize that purely intravascular microbubble contrast agents for ultrasound provide sensitive accurate demonstration of arterial phase enhancement and subsequent washout in all malignant tumors as compared with CT and MR agents, which have a definite interstitial phase which leads to increasing enhancement, especially for ICC related to passage of their contrast agent into the tumor interstitium.
